4210 Flow Meter
Ultrasonic level
measurement - non-contacting sensor means no scheduled maintenance.

The
4210 Ultrasonic Flow Meter provides non-contact sensing of the flow over a weir
or in a flume. The ultrasonic sensor is mounted above the flow stream, and
transmits a sound pulse that is reflected by the surface of the flow. The
elapsed time between sending a pulse and receiving an echo determines the level
in the channel. Automatic compensation for air temperature ensures measurement
accuracy.
Because its sensor does not contact the liquid, the 4210 provides long-term
dependability with no scheduled maintenance. The Isco 4210 is not affected by
chemicals or high concentrations of grease, suspended solids or silt in the
flow.
You can retrieve stored data on-site with a laptop PC or an Isco 581 Rapid
Transfer Device, or remotely via telephone using an optional modem. Isco
Flowlink Software produces a variety of informative graphs and reports from
stored data.
Standard Features
- Built-in flow conversions for most applications, including Manning
formula, data points, or equation for special situations.
- Two-line x 80-character backlit LCD.
- Built-in dot matrix printer gives you an accurate, on-site printout
- Internal memory stores over 2 months of flow, rainfall, parameter, and
sample data at 15 minute intervals.
- Automatic gain adjustment in response to echo strength - maximizes
performance in the presence of steam, foam, and turbulence.
- Variable Blanking Distance eliminates false echo problems caused by
obstructions such as manhole rungs.
- Interfacing for Sampler activation, connection to multiparameter water
quality sonde, alarm outputs
